Honor the Memory of a Loved One with a Memorial

The Garfield Park Conservatory is pleased to offer a very special opportunity for families, friends and colleagues to honor the memory of a loved one, celebrate the birth of a child or otherwise mark a memorable milestone.

Memorial and Honorary Benches

This initiative helps provide high quality and attractive seating at the Conservatory, while honoring an individual or organization. We offer both teak and metal benches and each will carry a small dedication plaque with the name of the individual or organization being honored. Your memorial will continue through the lifetime of the particular bench.

  • Teak benches are $2,500 and include a dedication plaque. Teak benches have a long life expectancy, but are made of natural materials and will over time require replacement.
  • Metal benches have a durable epoxy-based paint and will last for an expected 25 years. Metal benches are placed outside on the Garfield Park Conservatory grounds and are priced at $5,000 including the dedication plaque.

Help Make the Spring Shine at Garfield Park Conservatory

Thousands of daffodils mark the arrival of spring at Garfield Park Conservatory. Can you imagine a better gift than to have spring bulbs planted in someone's honor at Garfield Park Conservatory?

With a minimum donation of $50, the Alliance will plant daffodils at the Conservatory and along Lake Street to Kedzie Avenue marking the pathway to and from the Conservatory. You can make a gift in honor of someone special and have the choice to volunteer to plant the bulbs as well! Your contribution and your labor will help make a river of yellow “spring-shine” for all Conservatory visitors! For your donation, you and the person(s) you are honoring will receive an eCard online or physical certificate indicating the flowers planted and the date of the gift. Our volunteer planting sessions are scheduled in November each year; should you choose to participate please inform us.

  • Please Note: Locations for plantings cannot be specified and no plaques will be placed for bulb plantings. If you wish to receive a physical card for yourself and the honoree in place of an eCard, please email us with details.
